Maggie Bishop is a filmmaker, athlete, and storyteller from Georgia with a passion for capturing the real, the raw, and the resilient. As a senior at Piedmont University majoring in Film Production and Sports Communication, she uses the camera as a tool to amplify voices often overlooked—especially in the world of athletics.

Her capstone documentary, Chronic Athlete, sheds light on athletes living with chronic conditions, challenging the myth that peak performance requires perfect health. The inspiration behind this project stems from Maggie’s own journey as a swimmer living with a chronic condition. Through personal experience, she recognized the silent battles athletes face and felt compelled to tell their stories with honesty and strength.
